Stewart Ross is an experienced Executive Search and Human Resources professional with over 30 years background in attorney recruitment and Human Resources consulting. Having focused specifically on attorney "headhunting" since 1995, Mr. Ross' background includes search projects for Fortune 50 corporations and major US and International law firms on a global basis. This background provides an unparalleled depth of understanding of the recruiting process in this profession.
The global search practice is enhanced by Stewart's broad knowledge and understanding of HR systems and programs gained from working in salary survey consulting.
Formerly, Stewart was Vice President and Director of Research at Barrister Referrals, Ltd., a firm that pioneered the legal search industry and was active in the globalization of the US legal market. At Barrister, he partnered with the worldwide offices of global corporations and major American and International law firms, placing US- and foreign-trained attorneys, in various disciplines of law. Stewart has also been a Partner at another legal recruiting firm dedicated to the recruitment of lateral partners among law firms.
Prior to his career in attorney recruitment, Mr. Ross was a consultant at ORC Worldwide, an international consulting firm (now part of Mercer, LLC), advising and training corporate human resources departments. In this capacity, Mr. Ross consulted with corporate finance and HR professionals in a variety of industries and locales to plan and validate compensation and benefits programs.
Mr. Ross holds a Masters in Business Administration in International Business and Management from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in Washington, DC; a Certificate in European Studies from Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris ("Sciences Po") in Paris, France; and a BA in Economics and French from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.
